Spark 18SE68 1/18 Porsche 907C – No.49 H. Herrmann – J. Siffert – Winner 12H Sebring 1968 Diecast Car
In 1968 the new regulations governing endurance racing limited the capacity of the engines of prototypes to 3 liters. This new situation now allowed Porsche to fight for outright victory and no longer just for a class win. After having achieved a hat-trick at the 24 Hours of Daytona (18DA68), the German marque almost did it again at Sebring by taking the first two places. The configuration of the circuits being different, the short hoods replaced the long rear profiling. Jo Siffert and Hans Herrmann won a victory… with no problems.
