Unique trucks designed and built in Tatarstan have made the KAMAZ brand recognizable throughout the world. In 2017 a car with the index KAMAZ-43509 was created. In 2019, the car underwent a major modernization: engine operating processes were optimized, which made it possible to reduce the smoke of exhaust gases without compromising the dynamic properties, the lines and elements of the intake and exhaust systems were improved, the force on the steering wheel was reduced, the internal equipment of the body was rearranged, and the center of gravity of the car was optimized. An inline six-cylinder engine with a volume of 12.9 liters and a power of 1050 hp was used. The dry weight of the car is 8530 kg. Already in 2019, the car brought victory to the crew of Eduard Nikolaev at the Dakar Rally. At the last Dakar 2022, the crews of Anton Shibalov and Andrey Karginov competed on KAMAZ-43509 trucks with technical improvements introduced into them during 2021 and took 3rd and 4th places in the cargo classification, respectively.
